Blue Bell in Whitpain Township is a quiet Philadelphia suburb with over 6,000 residents. Located 18 miles northwest of the metro area, this town offers many surprises, despite its quiet character. With a past as old as the country, Blue Bell is named after an inn that once hosted George Washington. Restored in 2013, the Blue Bell Inn still welcomes guests.

Valley Forge National Historical Park pays homage to the area’s past with historic structures and monuments. Prophecy Creek and Wentz Run are two popular parks for picnicking, hiking and other recreational pursuits. The former has basketball and tennis courts, and the latter is home to the Manor House, a popular wedding venue.

Blue Bell is served by the highly rated Wissahickon School District and is home to two public elementary schools: Blue Bell and Stony Creek. Both have a GreatSchools rating of 9. The area also has 8 private schools. The public school system in Blue Bell devotes significantly more resources to its pupils than the national average.

Blue Bell also has better ratios when it comes to pupils and educators. There are 14 students per teacher, 247 pupils per librarian, and 300 scholars per counselor in this community. Almost 70 percent of the adult population has a 4-year college degree.
